SUMMARY:1ST ADMSC Dragon Boat Regatta 2025
DESCRIPTION:To All UAE Dragon Boat Teams\, \nOn behalf of SportsHub organizing committee and Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club\, you are cordially invited to participate in the inaugural 1ST ADMSC Dragon Boat Regatta\, to be held on 22nd & 23rd February 2025 in Abu Dhabi\, UAE. \nThe opening ceremony is planned for Saturday\, February 22nd and racing will take place on same day. Over two days of racing\, we will welcome more than 1\,000 spectators as they cheer on some of UAE’s most competitive teams. All teams\, regardless of affiliation\, nationality\, or background are welcome to participate in the regatta. \nThe provisional program for the festival is shown in Information Bulletin No.1 attached to this Invitation\, together with the entry conditions\, entry forms\, deadlines\, and the details about the entry fees. All other details will be provided by the Organizing Committee in Information Bulletin No. 2\, which will be released before race week. \nConfirmed entries must be received by 1st February 2025. \nWe are glad to welcome all teams to an exciting dragon boat festival in Abu Dhabi. \nLink to Bulletin No 1.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Season 9 of the Smash for Diabetes 2024 in Abu Dhabi! \nExciting games\, prizes and FREE Random Blood Sugar testing in celebration of the World Diabetes Awareness Month this November! \n\nTournament Guidelines & Regulations\nStandard Rules and Regulations of the Smash for Diabetes 2024 provides the detail on every aspect of the game of Badminton. \nI. PURPOSES\n\nEnsure and maintain fair and orderly on the Badminton tournament\, and to protect the Players’ rights and the respective rights of the Organizers\, Sponsors\, and the Public\nTo promote sportsmanship\, camaraderie among the community\nTo uphold the integrity of Badminton\n\nII. APPLICABILITY\n\nThis tournament guidelines and code of conduct is applicable to all Players participating in the Smash for Diabetes 2024\nAll Players are subject to the Code and the Laws of Badminton. Each Player who submitted in the tournament shall accept this Code\, the Competition Regulations and the Laws of Badminton and therefore be bound by them.\n\nIII. LEVELLING\n\nThe Organizing Committee shall be in charged of assigning the proper levels in all events. Levelling results is applicable and intended for this tournament only.\nAcceptance of entries is on a first come-first served basis.\nThere will be a limited number of entries available. In the event of a withdrawal\, the organizing committee has the right to replace an entry with an entry from the waiting list as long as the competition has not started.\n\nIV. SCORING SYSTEM\n\nELIMINATION ROUND\n\nScoring is 1 – 30. Change court on 15\, sudden death point. No Deuce.\nThe no. of games win.\nIn case of a double tie\, win-over-the-another rule shall apply.\nIf three or more teams have won the same number of matches\, ranking will be established as per the BWF guidelines and standards\n\n\nSEMI FINALS & Finals\n\nScoring is 1 – 30. Change court on 15\, sudden death point. No Deuce\n\n\nThe umpire’s decision is final and always be respected.However\, in case of dispute or discrepancies\, the Official Referee shall have the final decision.\nWALK OVERFailure to attend the final call of the match control committee and failure to play during a scheduled match.When to WALK OVER a default:\n\nAbsence during the scheduled match\n1st Call (3 min.)\, 2nd Call (3 min.)\, 3rd and Final Call (3 Min.) of a scheduled match.\nIn case of medical emergency\, accident and/or health risk; it is the decision of the Umpire to call and seek for a Medical advice and WALK OVER t if deemed necessary.\n\n\n\nVI. SUBSTITUTION/CHANGE OF PARTNERS\nEntries into and withdrawal from the tournament requires a fair approach to protect all Players from the possibility of manipulation to give any one Player possible advantage. Players need to follow a set of rules including the following: \n\nPlayers shall not withdraw from either the qualifying or main draw after publication of the draw without evidence or proof of “bona fide” injury\, illness\, bereavement or other emergency situation. Notification for substitution of players must be made at least 48 hrs before the tournament day.\nSubstitution or change of players without proper justification and approval from the organizers is strictly prohibited and subject to penalties and disqualification.\n\nVII. CONDUCT AND DECORUM\nPlayers are responsible for their on‐court presentation\, behavior\, conduct and performance including the following: \n\nNot arriving late for a match\, resulting in a “no-show”.\nPlayers are expected to display sportsmanship at all times during the tournament.\nAlways using one’s “best efforts” to win a match.\nCompleting a match in progress unless reasonably unable to do so.\nRespecting technical officials and not trying to influence the decisions of technical officials in any way using an arm\, hand\, racket gestures\, or orally.\nNot intentionally hitting a shuttle dangerously or recklessly within or out of the court\, hitting a shuttle with negligent disregard for the consequences\, or deliberately damaging a shuttle.\n\nVIII. OTHER PROVISIONS\n\nOnly players and technical officials are allowed to access to Badminton court.\nPlayers must have a valid visa or identification (eg. Passport\, Emirates ID)\nClubs and players are advised to follow the timings and schedules. WALK OVER system for players not present in the court will be imposed with exception on prayer timings.\nPayment shall be made online. Only paid entries will be confirmed for the tournament\nFixtures and schedules will be release a week before the tournament\nPlayers are requested to report at the match control 15 min before the time of their scheduled match. Failure to do so will result in default after the Final call of the emcee.\nAny protest as to the levelling or eligibility of the player/s shall be brought to the attention of the organizers by writing a letter of protest made by any interested player stating the name of the player/s and the reason/s for his/her disqualification only not more than 48 hours before the scheduled match. A protest fee of 200 AED will be applied.\nThe organizer reserves the right to make any changes in the program and has the right to cancel any events if necessary requirements are not fulfilled or met.
